Refer & Earn that actually pays: how the TBuddy programme works
July 26, 2026· 5 min read · by the TBuddy team

TBuddy pays real wallet cash for real referrals — not spam-invite quantity. Because payouts hit the same wallet you use for ads and memberships, we have to be strict about who counts. Here is exactly how the programme works, in plain English.
What unlocks a payout
- Your friend signs up using your invite link (shown on the sidebar → Refer & Earn).
- They verify their email.
- They upload a government ID.
- They pass selfie verification.
- They take at least one meaningful action — a post, a task, a product listing, an ad or a wallet top-up.
Only after every step above is complete are both wallets credited automatically. The Refer screen shows you the exact stage each of your referrals is on, so you can nudge friends who are stuck halfway.
What blocks a payout
Self-referrals, disposable-email chains, duplicate-device or duplicate-IP signups, and any coordinated attempt to farm invites are blocked automatically. If you spot friends whose credit didn't fire, it is almost always one of these reasons.
Leaderboard
Everyone who opts in appears on the public referral leaderboard at /app/refer/leaderboard, ranked by verified referrals this month. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard any time from Settings → Privacy — turning it off does not affect your earnings.
Spending your earnings
Referral credit lands in your wallet as a 'referral' transaction and can be spent on any TBuddy service — a boost, an ad budget, a membership — or withdrawn to your UPI once your balance passes ₹100. Standard Wallet Terms apply.
