Yes. Browsing tasks and the marketplace, posting 1 of each per day, chatting and leaving reviews are free. Premium (₹199/month) and Ultra Pro (₹299/month) unlock higher daily limits, longer content lifetimes and priority support — see the Membership section below.

Which cities is TBuddy live in?

TBuddy works anywhere in India, with the largest active communities in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Kochi, Chandigarh and Lucknow. New cities pick up quickly wherever a few verified members start posting.

How does posting a task work?

Open the Tasks tab, tap the + button, and describe what you need done — title, 5-line description with scope and access, date/time window, neighbourhood and a price range. Verified helpers nearby see the post and quote you in chat. You pick one, meet, get the job done, then leave a review.

Which task categories are supported?

Accepted Answer

Anything legal, public and platonic — the most common are cleaning, moving & furniture assembly, handyman/plumbing/electrical, delivery & pickup, tutoring, event help, photography, tech help, pet-sitting, language exchange, gym/running/travel buddies and errands. You can post a custom category if none fits.

Does TBuddy hold payment for tasks?

Accepted Answer

No. Payment is arranged directly between you and the helper — usually UPI on completion. TBuddy never takes a cut of the task fee. Only membership, boost, extra-slot and expiry-extension fees are paid to TBuddy.

What can I sell (or buy) on the marketplace?

Accepted Answer

New, used and handmade goods for local pickup or meetup — phones, laptops, cameras, bikes, furniture, home appliances, books, plants, sports gear and more. No illegal items, no weapons, no drugs, no counterfeits, no adult/medicinal products, no live animals.

How do payments and delivery work?

Accepted Answer

TBuddy is a discovery and chat platform — it does not process payment. Buyer and seller agree on price in chat, then meet in a safe public place (metro station, mall food court, café) to inspect the item and pay via UPI on the spot. Never ship electronics or send money before you've met and inspected.

How do I stay safe during a buy/sell meet-up?

Meet in daylight at a CCTV-covered public place, bring a friend for anything above ₹10,000, inspect the item fully before paying (and confirm the UPI SMS in your bank app before handing anything over), and keep all coordination inside TBuddy chat so reports and reviews still work if something goes wrong.

How does TBuddy keep meetups safe?

Every buddy can be ID-verified, you can share your live location with a trusted contact, and an in-app SOS button alerts our 24/7 safety team and the other party. Meet in public, well-lit places — we'll prompt you to confirm a safe location before any task starts.

What do I do if I feel unsafe during a meetup?

Accepted Answer

Tap the red SOS button inside the active task or chat. It immediately alerts our safety team, shares your live location, and notifies your emergency contact. You can also block and report any user in one tap.

How do I get the verified badge?

Accepted Answer

From Settings → Verifications, upload a government ID and a selfie. Most verifications are reviewed within a few hours. Verified profiles get the blue checkmark and rank higher in search.

What documents are accepted for ID verification?

Accepted Answer

We accept Aadhaar (India), Passport, Driving Licence, or any government-issued photo ID. Your ID image and selfie are stored in a private bucket, visible only to our trust team, and are deleted within 30 days of approval — only the verified flag stays on your profile.

Is phone or email verification mandatory?

Accepted Answer

Email is required to create an account (or you can sign in with Google, which shares your name, email and profile picture with us). TBuddy does not use SMS or phone-OTP verification. Government ID + selfie is optional but strongly recommended — verified accounts rank higher and get more matches.

Does TBuddy hold or refund money for tasks, products or portfolio work?

Accepted Answer

No. TBuddy never holds money for tasks, product sales or portfolio bookings — every rupee is exchanged directly between the two members in person or via their own preferred method. Only membership and boost fees are paid to TBuddy, and those are non-refundable except where the fault is on our side (e.g. a failed activation).

Is TBuddy Premium or Ultra Pro a subscription?

No. Premium (₹199) and Ultra Pro (₹299) are one-time monthly memberships paid via UPI — nothing auto-renews and no card is stored. When your month ends, you simply pay again to continue. You can pay in advance for multiple months if you like.

3 posts, 3 products, 3 tasks and 3 portfolio entries per day (Free is 1 of each), posts/portfolio/products kept for 2 months instead of 1, chats kept for 2 months, Premium badge everywhere, ability to add 24-hour stories and moods, and priority support.

What extra do I get with Ultra Pro (₹299 / month)?

5 posts, 5 products, 5 tasks and 5 portfolio entries per day, 1 video upload per day, posts/portfolio/products kept for 3 months, chats kept for 3 months, the Ultra Pro badge with a gold gradient ring, stories & moods, and top-priority support.

I hit my daily limit — what now?

You can wait for the next day, upgrade your plan, or buy an extra slot for today from the limit-reached screen (₹5 per extra post / product / task / portfolio). Extras added this way apply only to today.

Can I extend how long a post or product stays live?

Accepted Answer

Yes. From the item's detail page, tap 'Extend expiry' and pick 1, 2 or 3 months (₹10 per month). Once the admin marks the UPI payment as received, the expiry date is pushed forward.

How many posts, products, tasks or portfolio entries can I create per day?

Accepted Answer

Free members: 1 of each per day. Premium: 3 of each per day. Ultra Pro: 5 of each per day. Only Ultra Pro can upload 1 video per day. Limits reset every midnight in your local timezone.

How long does my content stay on TBuddy?

Posts, portfolio entries and product listings automatically expire after your tier's content window — 30 days on Free, 60 days on Premium, 90 days on Ultra Pro. Stories always disappear after 24 hours. Tasks and their reviews are kept as a permanent record for trust and safety.

Are there image size or upload restrictions?

Yes. Each photo must be under 10 MB before optimisation; we automatically compress and resize very large phone photos so the upload succeeds. Only common image formats (JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC) are accepted, and videos are limited to short clips under 60 seconds and 30 MB — video upload is available on Ultra Pro only, 1 per day.

Can I edit or delete my content later?

Yes. Open any post, product, portfolio entry or task you created and tap the edit icon to update the title, description, city, stock or image. You can delete it any time from the same menu; deletion is immediate and permanent.

How do reviews on tasks work?

Accepted Answer

After a task is marked completed, both the poster and the buddy who helped can leave a star rating and a short public review on each other's profile. Reviews are permanent, count toward the Trust Score, and cannot be edited once submitted — please be honest and specific.

Can I reschedule a task after it's live?

Accepted Answer

You can update the description freely, but the date/time of a live task can only be changed once through a paid 'Reschedule task' request (₹10) so that the other person isn't caught off guard by repeated changes.

How do product reviews work?

Accepted Answer

After a product is sold, the buyer can leave a rating and a short review on the seller's product listing. Reviews stay attached to the listing (even after 'sold out') so future buyers can see the seller's track record. Sellers cannot delete honest reviews — but you can report abusive ones.

Are payments for products handled by TBuddy?

No. TBuddy is a discovery and chat platform; buyers and sellers arrange payment and handover themselves — meet in a safe public place, verify the item, and only pay once you've inspected it. Never share OTPs or send money in advance to someone you haven't met.

What notifications will I get from TBuddy?

In-app and push notifications for: new messages, task applications and status updates, new followers, likes and comments on your posts/products/portfolio, review received, expiry reminders (24 hours before a post/product/plan expires), and safety alerts. Email is sent only for important account activity — password change, verification result, plan expiry.

Can I turn off push notifications or emails?

Yes. Go to Settings → Notifications to toggle each category (messages, likes, comments, expiry reminders, promotional). To unsubscribe from emails, tap 'Unsubscribe' at the bottom of any TBuddy email or use Settings → Notifications → Email preferences.

Who can see my exact location?

Accepted Answer

Never the whole platform. Your city is public; precise GPS is shared only with the other party of an accepted task, only while the task is active, and only if you opt in.

Can I delete my account and all my data?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Profile → Delete my account. Deletion is immediate: your profile, tasks, posts, stories, portfolio, product listings, messages, follows, reviews and verification records are erased from our active systems on the spot, and encrypted backups rotate out within 30 days. We only retain what we are legally required to keep (e.g. tax / payment receipts in a restricted finance log).

Does TBuddy sell my data or run third-party ads?

No. We do not sell personal data and we do not run third-party advertising on TBuddy. Subprocessors are limited to our managed cloud database + storage, our transactional email infrastructure (help@tbuddy.app), and Firebase Cloud Messaging for the push notifications you opt into.

How do I report a user?

Open their profile or any chat with them, tap the three-dot menu, then 'Report'. Choose a reason and add details. Our team reviews every report within 24 hours and you'll receive an outcome notification.

What happens to reported users?

Confirmed violations result in warnings, feature limits, temporary suspension, or permanent ban depending on severity. Severe cases (harassment, illegal activity) are immediate permanent ban and reported to authorities where applicable.

How is my Trust Score calculated?

Trust Score combines: ID verification, phone & email verification, profile completeness, tasks completed, average rating, account age, and absence of policy strikes. It updates within minutes of any qualifying action.

Yes — repeated cancellations, late-shows, or confirmed policy violations reduce your score. A clean record naturally restores it over time.

Any sexual service, escorting, dating-for-pay, drugs, illegal goods, weapons, gambling, scams, MLM recruiting, or anything involving minors. Zero tolerance. Permanent ban without warning.

No. TBuddy is built for friendship, companionship and real-world activities — not romance. Romantic or sexual solicitation is a policy violation.

What's the difference between a task and a post?

Accepted Answer

A task is a request for help or an activity where you invite someone to join or assist — the other person can accept, chat and meet up. A post is content shared to the feed (a photo, video, story or update) — it's for discovery, likes and comments, not booking. You can also tick 'Add to portfolio' on any post to display it as paid work with a price.

How does the work portfolio work?

When you create a post, you can mark it as portfolio work and add a price. That post then shows up on your profile's portfolio tab so other members can see samples of what you do and reach out to hire you. TBuddy is not part of the payment for portfolio work — that's arranged between you and the client.

Can I sell products on TBuddy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Any verified member can list new, used or handmade products in the local marketplace from Products → New. Listings must follow the Community Guidelines: no illegal, weapon, drug, adult, medicinal or counterfeit items. TBuddy does not process payment — buyers and sellers meet in person or arrange delivery themselves.

How is a product listing different from a task?

Products are physical items you're selling (or looking to buy); tasks are one-off requests for someone's time, help or companionship. Both live in-app but they use different flows — Products has stock, price and photos; Tasks has a category, location and a scheduled meetup.

Does TBuddy have a dark mode?

Yes. Go to Settings → Appearance and pick Light or Dark. The choice is remembered across sessions on that device.

Which languages does TBuddy support?

The interface is available in multiple languages with full right-to-left support for Arabic and other RTL scripts — pick your language from Settings → Language and the whole app (including the side menu and the new-post button) mirrors correctly. User-generated content is auto-translated on demand in the feed and chats.

Yes, partially. TBuddy is installable as a PWA and caches your feed, profile, chats and images locally, so opening the app is instant and you can browse recent content without a connection. Actions taken offline (likes, comments, sending a message) are queued and sync automatically when you're back online.

How do web push notifications work?

On supported browsers, TBuddy uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications (new messages, task updates, likes, comments). You'll be asked once for permission; you can turn categories on/off any time from Settings → Notifications, or revoke permission entirely in your browser settings.

What is the TBuddy Wallet?

The Wallet is your single, in-app balance for everything you pay for on TBuddy — memberships, boosts, extra daily slots, ad budgets, expiry extensions, reschedules and paid promo applications. Top up once via UPI and spend it across the app without re-entering payment details. TBuddy is not a bank; the Wallet is a stored-value ledger against services you buy from TBuddy.

How do I add money to my wallet?

Open the sidebar → Wallet → Add money, enter the amount, pay via UPI to the shown QR/UPI ID, then upload the payment reference. Our admin team verifies and credits your balance, usually within a few minutes. Duplicate references submitted within 2 minutes are automatically deduplicated so you never get double-charged.

Are there limits on wallet top-ups?

Yes — up to ₹10,000 per day and ₹1,00,000 per month per account. This is a safety cap to prevent misuse; if you need a higher limit for business promotions, write to help@tbuddy.app.

Is wallet money refundable?

Accepted Answer

Money you add to the wallet is meant to be spent on TBuddy services and is not refundable to your bank account, except where required by law. However, ad budgets that go unspent (paused or closed campaigns) are auto-refunded to your wallet within minutes.

Can I withdraw wallet balance to my bank?

Accepted Answer

Yes, once your balance reaches ₹100 you can request a withdrawal to your UPI ID from Wallet → Withdraw. Our team processes withdrawals within 1–3 business days. Withdrawals are frozen for 24 hours after a top-up to protect against chargeback fraud.

Why was my withdrawal blocked?

The most common reasons are: your last top-up was under 24 hours ago (chargeback guard), the balance is under the ₹100 minimum, or your UPI ID couldn't be validated. The Wallet screen shows the exact reason and when the block clears.

How do in-app ads work on TBuddy?

Any verified member can promote a task, product, service or profile from the + menu → Create Ad. Pick a placement (Home, Products, Buddies, Chats or Search), a city or radius, a daily budget and a runtime. Wallet balance is charged upfront and unused budget is refunded automatically when the ad ends. Every ad is manually reviewed before it goes live.

Where will my ad show up?

Ads are injected natively into the tab you chose — after every couple of posts in the Home feed, in the Products browse grid, between buddy cards, as a special row in the Chats list, or as a sponsored result in Search. The look matches the surrounding UI so it never feels bolted on.

How is my ad's performance measured?

The Ad detail page shows impressions, clicks and CTR, all owner-only. Impressions are tracked only when the ad is visible for at least 800 ms (no accidental scroll-past counts). Client- and server-side frequency caps limit each viewer to 5 views per ad per day so your budget isn't burned on the same person.

Can I pause, extend or close a running ad?

Yes — from the ad's detail page you can pause, resume, extend the budget in tiered chunks or close early. Unused budget is auto-refunded to the wallet on close. Owners receive email + in-app receipts on every state change.

What is a Social Media Promotion?

Social promotions are open campaigns where you (the brand or creator) invite verified TBuddy members to share your product on their own Instagram, YouTube, X, WhatsApp status, etc. Creators apply with sample links, you approve, they post, and the payout is held in escrow inside the wallet — released to the creator only after you (or the automatic 48-hour timer) confirm delivery.

How does Refer & Earn work?

Share your invite link from the sidebar → Refer & Earn. When a friend signs up with your link, verifies their email, uploads a government ID, passes selfie verification and takes at least one meaningful action on the app (posts, tasks, products, ads or a wallet top-up), both of you earn wallet cash.

Why hasn't my referral bonus arrived?

The most common reasons: your friend hasn't finished verification yet, hasn't done a meaningful action, used the same device or IP (blocked as self-referral), or used a disposable email address. The Refer screen shows the exact stage each referral is on so you know what's missing.

Yes — everyone who opts in appears on /app/refer/leaderboard, ranked by verified referrals this month. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard any time from Settings → Privacy.
